Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Support general dentistry, prosthodontics, implant dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties as required.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and documentation efficiently.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of implant dentistry, general dentistry practices, and prosthodontics is an advantage.
Familiarity with medical documentation processes and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Proficient in taking X-rays with an understanding of safety measures related to radiation exposure.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control standards in a dental clinic setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
