Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Flexible hours! Location could be Eden Prairie or Savage! The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a strong techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Manage dental equipment and ensure that all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling billing inquiries.
Utilize dental software systems, to update patient information and manage records effectively.
Stay current with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to provide informed assistance during procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including X-ray procedures.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Proficiency in using dental software systems; experience with Epic is a plus.
A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Active MN dental assistant license
Sedation or DAANCE

Pay: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour
