Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, infection control protocols, and proficiency with dental systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans, utilizing systems such as Epic for documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Support infection control measures by adhering to established protocols for cleanliness and safety.
Operate 3D scanners and other dental technology as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Assist in endodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments required for treatment.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of medical records management and medical coding is advantageous.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices, infection control standards, and dental clinic operations is essential.
Proficiency in using dental systems, including experience with 3D scanners is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
