Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice in Bellaire, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, and the ability to effectively assess patient needs. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other team members to deliver exceptional oral health care.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate instruments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in patient records
Assist in the management of patients with care and compassion.
Chart and prepare treatment plans for all patient's dental needs.
Utilize Open Dental for patient management.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in Texas.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and documentation review.
Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards within a dental practice setting.
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
