Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental software.
Manage patient records using Open Dental software, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly applied.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to provide the best patient care.
Skills
Proficiency in Open Dental software for managing patient records.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Knowledge of dental assisting practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with medical imaging technologies used in general dentistry.
Comprehensive understanding of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
