Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories, including vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups for patients.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in all aspects of treatment.

Requirements

Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and procedures.
Familiarity with medical records management systems.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray operation.
Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
