We are a well-established, patient-focused PPO dental practice committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive dental care. Our office is equipped with the latest dental technology, offering an advanced, comfortable, and supportive environment for both our patients and team members. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team.
Job Summary:As a Dental Hygienist at our practice, you will play an essential role in patient care by performing thorough cleanings, preventive care, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. You will work alongside a friendly and experienced team, utilizing the latest dental technology to deliver the best patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed dental cleanings (scaling, root planing, and polishing) using both hand instruments and modern ultrasonic technology.
Utilize digital radiography and intraoral cameras for accurate diagnostics and patient education.
Assess patients' oral health and perform periodontal charting using advanced systems.
Administer local anesthetics as needed, following state regulations.
Provide patients with preventive care education, tailored oral hygiene instructions, and product recommendations.
Assist in the management of periodontal disease and other oral health issues by providing appropriate treatments.
Document patient care and progress in our electronic health records (EHR) system.
Collaborate with the dentist to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
Stay updated on new technology, procedures, and best practices in the dental hygiene field.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in California.
Proven experience in a PPO dental office setting preferred.
Comfortable with modern dental technology, including digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and laser therapy.
Strong knowledge of periodontal care, preventive services, and patient education techniques.
Ability to build positive, professional relationships with patients and team members.
Exceptional communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $56.19 - $60.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
