Position Overview:
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care
- Give instructions to patients about all dental procedures
- Take X-rays, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Periodontal treatment planning
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Monitor supplies
- Ensure the sterilization and upkeep of dental equipment
- Must be Hygiene production oriented.
- Coachable and open to learning new techniques and accept constructive critique.
- Work closely with team members to create a positive and efficient workflow
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene practices and attend continuing education opportunities
- Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- A passion for patient care and helping others achieve optimal oral health
- Eagerness to grow professionally and contribute to a positive team environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Dental office experience preferred.
