Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting oral health and have experience in both pediatric and general dentistry. This role requires a strong commitment to patient assessment and education, as well as proficiency in infection control and aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting vital signs.
Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols.
Assist in the implementation of infection control procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Utilize Eaglesoft and other systems for patient records management and appointment scheduling.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care tailored to individual patient needs.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Proficiency in documentation review and maintaining accurate patient records.
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and aseptic techniques is essential.
Commitment to infection control standards within a dental clinic setting.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
