Job Description
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting oral health, along with a warm personality. This position has the possibility to work for production if interested.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care.
Take dental X-rays as necessary to assist in the diagnosis of dental conditions.
Administer local anesthetic and apply dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with other members of the dental team, including dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Stay informed about advancements in dental technology, techniques, and regulations through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program and current licensure as a dental hygienist in the state of practice.
Dental hygiene license
Strong clinical skills with proficiency in performing dental cleanings, examinations, and X-rays.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and interact with patients of all ages.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Dedication to upholding ethical standards and providing compassionate care to patients.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs in a fast-paced dental practice.
Knowledge about EMS, GBT method of cleaning is a plus.
