OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix.
Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding treatment plans.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment.
Support various specialties including Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Pediatrics as required.

Requirements

Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous.
Understanding of medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
Ability to take vital signs and record them accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Certification or training in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
