```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. If you are passionate about dentistry and have excellent patient care skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Conduct thorough periodontal assessments and charting
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment
- Professionally call and confirm patients
- Willing to learn
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including digital radiography
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Experience working with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or CAD
- Ability to accurately document patient information using medical terminology
- Skilled in conducting patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR certification
