OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care in our clinic.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including SRP.
Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical records and taking vital signs
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits
Administer local anesthesia as needed
Affectively communicate with patients, Dentist(s) and team members ensuring a smooth workflow
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in Dental and Imaging software
Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Breakdown and Setup Hygiene Rooms
Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and high-quality care
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and continue professional development

Requirements

Valid Connecticut state dental hygiene license
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and best practices
Continuing Education to keep up with the latest techniques and procedures in dental hygiene
Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental practice management systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members effectively
Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and reporting of patient information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
