Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled dental hygienist available on Fridays from 10 AM to 6 PM. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is seeking part-time work and thrives in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.
Duties

Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
Take dental x-rays
Conduct periodontal assessments
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health recommendations
Administer local anesthesia as needed
Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic health record systems
Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques
Utilize CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions and restorations

Qualifications

Valid state dental hygiene license
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
Proficiency in medical coding for dental procedures
Familiarity with dental assisting techniques and procedures
Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic, Dentrix, etc.)
Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices
