Job Description
Job OverviewThe Clackamas Health Centers Dental Clinics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join their dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of the dental clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and effective communication with patients and the dental team.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital signs monitoring.
Perform dental cleanings using appropriate techniques and tools while adhering to aseptic protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Work Schedule
Hours: Mon, Tues, Weds, and Thurs: 8:00 am ââ¬â 5:00 pm
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the State of Oregon.
Proficiency in aseptic technique and knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
2 years of experience in a dental clinic setting is required.
Strong skills in patient care, including the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $49.24 - $53.82 per hour
