Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to our young patients while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience. This role involves working closely with children and their families, educating them on oral health practices, and collaborating with the dental team to deliver exceptional care in a pediatric dental clinic setting.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and documentation of findings.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Review and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families about preventive dental care, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Ensure all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to safety standards.
Provide support in the dental office as needed, including assisting with patient flow and managing appointments.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and maintaining medical records.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and their guardians.
Proficiency in dental assisting tasks within a clinical environment is an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere while providing exceptional patient care.
A passion for pediatrics and commitment to promoting oral health among young patients.
