The team at Atlantic Dental Associates is committed to providing excellent dental care in a compassionate, understanding, and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team and contribute to our mission of outstanding patient care. As a hygienist, and part of the Atlantic Dental Associates team, you will play an integral role in providing our patients with exceptional care and improving overall oral health. We are in need of a hygienist who can work 2-3 days a week with the potential to become full time.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning procedures including debridement, prophylaxis, SRP, and periodontal maintenance
Capture digital radiographs as prescribed (periapical, bitewings, panorex, CBCT)
Conduct extraoral and oral cancer screening examinations
Conduct oral health assessments (periodontal and caries risk assessments)
Provide Oral Hygiene Instruction to patients
Assist in creating individualized treatment plans and effectively communicating treatment procedures
Effectively communicate with patients and address patient concerns
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Examine and identify signs of periodontal disease.
Apply fluoride and cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay
Maintain dental equipment and dental instruments, including sharpening and sterilization.

Requirements:

Current North Carolina Dental Hygiene licensure.
New grads are welcome!
Knowledge of general principles of dentistry and advanced knowledge of dental hygiene.
Strong customer service skills.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene.
North Carolina dental hygiene licensure required.
