Job Description

General Responsibilities: The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on support to the Dentist, completing preparation work to efficiently care for patients and assist during dental procedures. Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
X-Ray Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire)
BLS Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire)
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
Able to provide great patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year experience as a dental assistant.

Significant Job Functions:
Four handed dentistry
Setting up dental procedures
Sterilization of dental instruments
Taking alginate impressions
Pouring models
Take digital dental x-rays
Document vitals and chief complaints in chart
Document treatment plan in chart
Physical Effort/ Environment:
The duties of this position are performed onsite at a Thundermist location.
This position requires the use of fingers and hand manipulation using instruments and dental equipment. On feet most of the day.
Work Schedule Demands:
As determined with department hiring needs.
Must be available for overtime, including nights and weekends, when necessary.
Communication Skills:
This position requires the ability to verbally communicate with patients.
