Solo practice seeking experienced Dental Assistant

Location: Pueblo, CO

Seeking experienced and dedicated Full-Time or Part-Time Dental Assistant at solo doctor-owned practice at Down to Earth Dental in Pueblo, CO

Expected hours: 16 – 36 per week

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team full-time, or part-time. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a dental assistant, with experience performing tasks like taking denture impressions, making temporary crowns, and placing restorations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays) with a digital sensor
• Preparing, sterilizing and organizing  instruments and equipment
• Recording thorough documentation of services performed in our clinic
• Assisting the doctor with a wide variety of dental disciplines including but not limited to restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics
• Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
• Assisting patients in scheduling appointments and processing billing and payment when necessary
• Answering phones and making calls to patients or other businesses when necessary
• Assisting other clinic staff to complete responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Current Colorado BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Expanded duties skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• A strong sense of initiative
• Ability to share responsibilities in a close, cooperative team environment
