Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for a temporary Second Dental Assistant to support our lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and dentist in various aspects of patient care. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, though this is not required, as we believe in fostering an environment that encourages growth and learning. If you're motivated to expand your skills and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, this role offers ample opportunities to learn and gain hands-on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead RDA with routine tasks such as cleaning and preparing dental rooms between patient visits
- Take x-rays, dental impressions, and assist with scanning procedures
- Help maintain the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
- Set up and breakdown rooms for various procedures
- Assist in handling patient records and charting under the direction of the dentist or RDA
- Provide support to patients during and after dental procedures
- Perform other general office duties as needed to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of dental procedures and terminology is a plus
- Familiarity with taking x-rays, impressions, and scanning (training will be provided if needed)
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from the lead RDA
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward patient care
- Must be eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
