Job Description

We are looking for an experienced dental assistant for a Periodontal office located in North OKC. You should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry including surgical procedures
Assist front desk/answer phones/schedule appointments for hygienists
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Take and process x-rays (digital, scan-x, cat scan)

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant (surgical experience required)
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Good computer skills/Eaglesoft experience helpful
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; certified dental assistant required
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

Full time with benefits. Office hours Monday/Wednesday 7:45am-3:00pm, Tuesday/Thursday 6:45am-2:00pm, Friday 6:45am-12:00pm (hours may vary due to scheduling)
