Job Description
Our Dental Office is looking for a Dental Assistant (DA) that will be responsible for preparing patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set instrument trays, preparing materials, Take patients routine X-rays and assist dentist during dental procedures. Record treatment information in patient records, provide post operative instructions prescribed by dentists. Assist dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
Specific Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of dental terminology.
2. Valid (DA) license.
3. Compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA training)
4. Excellent Customer service skill to communicate with patients and staff.
5. Computer skills (Open Dental software)
6. Bilingual -Not required (HUGE PLUS)
Must Have:
Current Dental Assistant CA State License - Required
Dental X-ray License - Required
Current CPR Certification - Required
Coronal Polishing Certification - Required
California Board-approved Radiation Safety Course (Required)
