Job Description
**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist and hygienist in providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and organized dental environment while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. **Duties** - Assist the dentist and hygienist with patient care, including preparing the operatory for procedures and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized. - Prepare patients for treatment, including taking vital signs and explaining procedures. - Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including X-rays and treatment plans. - Assist with dental radiography, including taking and developing X-rays. - Support the dentist with prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialized procedures. - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of dental anatomy and patient anatomy. - Utilize infection control practices to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients. - Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist or hygienist. **Skills** - Proficiency with dental assisting and patient care. - Experience with dental radiography and X-ray equipment. - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and patient anatomy. - Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with dental systems and medical coding. - Experience with pediatric and adult patients. - Ability to work with patients of all ages and needs. - Familiarity with Epic and other dental software systems. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in dental assisting preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
