**Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our dentists in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our dental practice. This role requires a strong background in dental assisting, with a focus on aseptic technique, infection control, and medical documentation. **Duties** - Assist dentists and hygienists during patient examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients. - Prepare and sterilize equipment and instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols. - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as directed by the dentist. - Take and develop dental X-rays, utilizing medical imaging technology to ensure accurate diagnoses. - Manage patient records and medical documentation, utilizing Epic electronic health record systems. - Maintain a clean and organized dental clinic environment, adhering to standard dental clinic protocols. - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and treatment options, utilizing dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients. - Participate in endodontic procedures, including root canals and crown preparations. - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and a positive patient experience. **Experience** - 1+ years of experience in a dental clinic setting, with a focus on general dentistry and dental assisting. - Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols. - Experience with medical imaging and medical documentation, utilizing Epic electronic health record systems. - Familiarity with dental terminology and endodontic procedures. - Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment, with a focus on patient safety and comfort. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and the dental team.
