Job Description

Dental Hygienist at ELFHCC, your primary responsibility is to provide preventive dental care services to patients by established dental hygiene protocols. Working within the framework of ELFHCC, you play a crucial role in promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases in the community
Qualifications:

Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
CPR certification and any additional certifications required by the state.
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
Thorough understanding of oral hygiene principles, preventive dental care, and familiarity with community health practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices and communicate with the dental team

Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings.
Perform dental cleanings and preventive procedures.
Collect and update patient dental histories.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Document treatments, findings, and education provided to patients.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental environment.
Work closely with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals
Assist in the coordination of patient care and follow-up appointments.


All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Critical Skills/ Requirements
Physical Demands: Work is performed in a fast-paced office and community setting with local travel required. Physical demands include prolonged sitting/standing and phone use. Lifting and carrying PR equipment and supplies (5-10 lbs.) may be required.
