Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a key role in preventing oral diseases by providing routine cleanings, examinations, and other preventative dental care, as well as educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough oral examinations, including reviewing patient history and identifying signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and applying sealants or fluoride.
Take dental X-rays as needed for comprehensive evaluation.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits that impact oral health.
Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history at each visit.
Administer local anesthetics if certified and as needed for certain procedures.
Provide post-treatment care and instructions to patients, ensuring they understand how to care for their teeth and gums after treatment.
Stay updated on the latest dental hygiene practices, technologies, and trends to provide the best care possible.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Active state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
Current CPR certification.
Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team and maintain a positive office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

0-2 years of dental hygiene work experience
Certification to administer local anesthesia (if required by the state).
Knowledge of Open Dental practice management software.
