Title: Dental Hygienist
LOCATION: Southbridge, MA
Shift: Day Shift
Job Summary: As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing quality dental care to patients under the supervision of a licensed dentist. You will perform a variety of tasks to support oral health, including teeth cleaning, patient education on oral hygiene, and preventive dental care procedures. Your role is crucial in promoting and maintaining dental health within the community.
Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations of patients.
Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth using dental instruments.
Apply fluoride and sealants to help protect teeth.
Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified in radiology).
Assist dentists during dental procedures as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Perform screenings for oral health conditions such as periodontal disease.
Maintain dental equipment and ensure sterility and cleanliness of instruments.
Document patient care and treatment plans in dental records.
Follow all safety and infection control guidelines.

Requirements:

Degree in Dental Hygiene (associate or bachelor’s degree).
State licensure and certification in dental hygiene.
Proven experience as a dental hygienist or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
