Perfect opportunity for a senior doctor wanting to decrease hours/workload, or a mother dentist trying to find that perfect work/life balance. (Our owner is a mother of three, and looking to decrease workload now that her kids are sport-aged.) We are a veteran/ family-owned private practice in the quaint, historic town of Vandalia, IL. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality dental care and a passion for improving patient health and well-being. This role involves diagnosing and treating various dental conditions, performing procedures, and educating patients on oral health practices.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine dental needs and treatment plans.
Perform a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, root canals, and oral surgeries.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose dental issues accurately.
Fabricate dental appliances and prosthetics as needed.
Provide specialized care in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in a four-handed dentistry approach to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Skills
Proficient in dental fabrication techniques.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to oral health.
Experience in pediatrics and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Skilled in performing oral surgery with precision.
Familiarity with operating within a dental clinic environment.
Excellent patient assessment skills to identify treatment needs effectively.
Proficient in medical imaging technologies relevant to dentistry.

Pay: $750.00 - $1,000.00 per day
