Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Our practice is patient focused and we do our best to curate a stress-free and friendly environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients about their oral hygiene practices.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Administer preventive dental care, including standard prophys and SCRPs, and fluoride treatments.
Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental practices.

Skills

Proficient in patient assessment and evaluation systems.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures.
Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles for treating younger patients.
Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation practices.
Strong grasp of medical terminology related to dental health.
