Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Epic.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Assist in prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and instruments.

Skills

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus for managing patient interactions effectively.
Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a clean working environment.
Familiarity with Epic or similar dental software systems for record management.
Ability to accurately assess and record vital signs.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics to cater to younger patients effectively.
Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles for specialized care.
Knowledge of prosthodontics practices to assist in relevant procedures.
Proficient in taking X-rays with an emphasis on safety and accuracy.
