Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and conducting oral assessments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care accurately in accordance with clinic protocols.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for documentation and patient management.
Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with dental practices.

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures relevant to the field.
Experience in documentation review to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Familiarity with medical imaging technologies used in dentistry.
Background in dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and techniques is a plus.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively, enhancing efficiency during procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages.
