Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans using Epic or similar software.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including pediatrics and prosthodontics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary before procedures.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required.
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas in accordance with safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates with relevant training.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is an advantage, particularly in pediatrics or prosthodontics.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic is desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but can be obtained upon hiring.
