Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Caring Dental - Middle River, MD

We are a well established dental office in Middle River Maryland. We are looking for a caring, friendly, task oriented and experienced dental assistant. The responsibilities of the position include but not exclusive to the following:

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
Take dental X-rays. Md certified
Greet and seat patients
Communicate with patients to create a welcoming and calming environment
Manage infection control- prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures
Perform various office tasks as necessary

Skills:

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable

Minimum Education and Experience:

Dental assisting certificate
High school diploma or equivalent
X-Ray certification Preferred but not Required
CPR
1-3 years experience

Bonus Qualifications:

Cerec experience
Curve Dental Software experience
