Dental Hygienist - Leary Family Dentistry - Charlotte, NC

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our Mountain Island-area team and play a key role in providing exceptional preventive care to our amazing patients.
What You’ll Do:

Greet and welcome patients with warmth and professionalism
Perform cleanings, scaling, and root planing
Take and interpret X-rays and conduct oral cancer screenings
Evaluate and document oral health conditions, supporting the dentist in diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants
Maintain and prepare hygiene rooms and instruments
Work side-by-side with the dentist during exams when needed
Help schedule follow-up appointments and ensure patients understand their treatment plans

What We’re Looking For:

Licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of North Carolina
Graduate of an ADA-accredited Dental Hygiene program
CPR certified
At least 1 year of experience preferred, but new grads are welcome!
Strong communication and patient-care skills
Certified in anesthesia/sedation is a plus

Physical & Work Requirements:

Able to sit for extended periods and assist with patient care
Comfortable working in a medical/dental environment
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with equipment/supplies
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise work
Professional demeanor in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting

Typical Work Schedule:

Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
