Dental Hygienist - Howell Dentistry - Suffolk, VA

OverviewOur practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our exceptional dental team. We are a patient-focused, family dental practice treating patients of all ages. We take pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel like pat of our family-- and our team members do too! We are looking for an RDH that will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and education while ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their oral health, perform cleanings, and assist in various dental procedures within a supportive clinic environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene needs.
Evaluate patient needs and provide initial therapy as recommended.
Provide preventative dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Work alongside our dentists and dental assistants to ensure top-notch patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold infection control protocols.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Strong knowledge of patient assessment systems and dental clinic operations.
Experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent initiative when necessary.
