Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as necessary, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental clinic.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and familiarity with dental office systems.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
