Responsibilities: Perform dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive care for pediatric patients. Diagnose and treat a variety of dental issues specific to children, including cavities, gum disease, and other oral health conditions. Develop personalized treatment plans for each child, taking into account their medical history and individual needs. Educate parents and children about the importance of oral hygiene and preventive care. Administer pediatric sedation and anesthesia as needed for various procedures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with developments in pediatric dentistry and implement the latest techniques and technology to improve patient care. Build strong, trusting relationships with young patients and their families to ensure a positive dental experience. Qualifications: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Specialty certification in Pediatric Dentistry. Active dental license in New York. Strong understanding of the unique dental needs of children and the ability to perform dental procedures on pediatric patients.
