Key Responsibilities:

Assist hygienists during patient procedures including cleanings, periodontal therapy, and exams.

Prepare treatment rooms before hygiene appointments by setting up necessary instruments and materials.

Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.

Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos as directed by the hygienist or dentist.

Review and update patient medical histories and assist with charting.

Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-care instructions as directed.

Support hygiene schedule by helping turn over rooms quickly and efficiently.

Maintain inventory and hygiene supplies, restocking as needed.

Collaborate with front office team to ensure efficient patient flow.

Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a comfortable and positive experience.

Qualifications:

Dental Assistant certification (required or preferred depending on state regulations)

X-ray certification (required)

Previous experience in a dental setting preferred

Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus

Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
