Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking impressions, applying topical anesthetics, and assisting with medical imaging.
Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately using Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinic.
Maintain sterilization protocols for instruments and equipment.
Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.

Skills

Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.
Familiarity with prosthodontics and medical coding is a plus.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
