The RDA plays a crucial role in supporting the orthodontist in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in orthodontic procedures, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule
This is a full-time position
Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop x-rays as directed by the orthodontist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Administrative Responsibilities
Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations.
Handle patient inquiries via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service.
Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with financial arrangements.
Manage inventory and order office/clinical supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California
Certification in radiology, coronal polishing, and CPR (as required by state regulations).
Previous orthodontic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Proficiency in dental software
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
