Entry-Level Dental Hygienist - Chicago Lake Family Dental - Minneapolis, MN

Our modern and wonderful office is seeking additional compassionate, self-motivated and professional Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team oriented practice. We provide patient-focused general dentistry care in a fun environment. We have a wonderful team that is kind, caring and supportive. Our staff enjoys a flexible schedule that’s usually unavailable at corporate clinics. We have a flexible policy when it comes to vacation and time off. Our office hours are Mon - Thu 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Working on Fridays is optional. No weekends no nights. The office is paperless, fully digital, modern and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. If you are a new graduate you are encouraged to apply since you may be eligible for exam, certificates and licenses reimbursement. We will be happy to train our new employees.

Responsibilities

Gather and record patient's medical history
Chart patient exam findings, dental and periodontal conditions
Take radiographs
Administer local anesthetics
Perform prophy, full mouth debridement, and scaling and root planning
Perform in-office teeth whitening
Demonstrate oral conditions and treatments using models, photos and videos
Instruct and educate patients on proper oral hygiene and diet control

Qualification and Skills:

Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene (required)
Current or anticipated Minnesota State dental hygiene license (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification
Familiarity with OSHA and HIPPA regulations
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Team work and communication skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Experience is not required but preferred
