Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Assist dentists with four-handed dentistry during various treatments.
Provide pediatric care with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
Review and document patient medical histories and treatment plans accurately.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment provided.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of dental assisting practices and systems.
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Experience in infection control measures within a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Compassionate approach towards patient care, especially with pediatric patients.
Ability to perform documentation review effectively to ensure compliance with regulations.
