Dental Hygienist - Smile Bright Periodontics - Agoura Hills, CA

We're thrilled to announce an opening for a friendly and welcoming Dental Hygienist to join our amazing team! If you're passionate about providing quality care in an upbeat, warm, kind, and supportive environment, Smile Bright Periodontics is the perfect place for you.
In this role, you'll primarily be focusing on periodontal maintenance (PM) appointments, as most of our patients have already been stabilized by our doctor. While there are occasional scaling and root planing (S/RP) appointments, the majority of your time will be dedicated to helping our patients maintain their beautiful smiles. We believe in quality over quantity, so we allocate 1 hour for each PM appointment and 1.5 hours for 2 quads of S/RP.
We have an opening for someone available once or twice a week.
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
* Welcoming patients with a warm and friendly smile
* Ensuring a clean and disinfected treatment room
* Reviewing patient medical history
* Taking accurate probings and dental records
* Taking x-rays
* Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
* Administering local anesthesia
* Performing scaling and root planing

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical records
Experience with dental software
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform patient assessments and document vital signs
