Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper medical imaging techniques are followed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety protocols within the practice.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a sterile environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging and understand medical imaging systems.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
