OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Take and develop dental X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the front desk as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
SkillsThe successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, including Endodontics and Prosthodontics.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly valued.
Ability to take vital signs accurately when necessary.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Competence in X-ray techniques and safety measures.
Strong understanding of infection control standards within a dental setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
