OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic.
Provide chairside assistance in various dental procedures, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the operatory is well-stocked and organized.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but not mandatory.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Knowledge of infection control standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Experience with taking vital signs is an advantage.
Ability to perform tasks related to endodontics and prosthodontics is desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Certification in radiology or willingness to obtain certification for X-ray operation.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 â 45 per week
