Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time or Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Review patient documentation and medical history to provide tailored care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Perform pediatric dentistry tasks with a focus on creating a comfortable experience for young patients.
Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis.
Record vital signs and other relevant patient information accurately in Dentrix or similar dental office software.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in documentation review and patient care practices.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental office management software is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, especially in working with pediatric patients.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
