Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist for 2-3 days per week to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through effective hygiene practices. You will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient experiences, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, focusing on pediatric patients as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and team members.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories accurately.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Assist in the management of dental office systems, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records using Eaglesoft or similar software.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus.
Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control standards is essential.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques, including taking vital signs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental office management systems is desirable.
A compassionate approach towards patient care, especially with children, is highly valued.
