Registered Dental Hygienist - Restoration Dental - Strongsville, OH

Job OverviewWe are seeking an upbeat, friendly and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player, who is proactive, professional and has supreme chairside manners. We are looking for someone who provides high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques, as well as proficiency in dental software, Dentrix. We are currently looking for someone to work 25-30 hours a week between our two offices located in Strongsville and North Olmsted.
Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
Document patient treatment plans and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record system.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Assist in the management of the dental clinic’s operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge essential for effective patient care.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix for documentation and patient management.
Strong skills in patient assessment to identify oral health issues accurately.
Ability to perform documentation review efficiently to ensure compliance with clinical standards.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to uphold safety protocols within the dental clinic.
