Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures with precision.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures efficiently.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental terminology and medical systems.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient experience and treatment outcomes.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control practices.
Proficiency in patient care techniques and assessment methods.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
